When planning our tour calendar, we never know in advance if the weather will be favourable for a mushroom foraging trip. However, the last few weeks have been very fortunate, so at the suggestion and with the guidance of our expert, we are launching a last minute opportunity for mushroom enthusiasts who like Humtour’s programs.
We meet at 9.00 am at the outskirts of Csákberény, from where the team will set off for the big mushroom hunt. A 3-3,5 hour hike and foraging tour awaits us, where we can get to know many mushroom species and fill our baskets with nature’s treasures.
Our tour guide is a conservation engineer and mushroom expert, who provides interesting facts and knowledge for everyone from curious children to adults, introduces us to the special secrets of wildlife, and reveals treasures that the untrained eye would overlook during a walk in the forest.

After the hike, lunch is served by the warmth of the fireplace and a rich homemade farmhouse meal, with syrup and soda.
After lunch, each basket is carefully inspected by the certified expert and only the mushrooms that have been checked and are fit to eat are allowed to leave the site.
Program fee:
Children up to 14 years: 8 890 HUF/person (VAT included)
Program fee over 14 years: 11 430 HUF/person (VAT included)
The price includes:
- Guided tour with a renowned biodiversity researcher and mushroom expert, with rich knowledge, interesting and enjoyable presentation covering curiosities and unique specimens
- Lunch on the farm (hearty meal, bread, syrup, soda, hot tea)
- Mushroom inspection
