The freedom of creation

Our village tour continues with a handicraft program, where you can try out the crafts of the potter and the ceramist.

In Őrség, pottery has a great tradition. The loamy soil made the trade flourish. Professional knowledge was passed on to the children in several families. During the workshop, we provide all the commodities: the clay, the tools, the paint, the glaze and the brushes.

It is also possible to use the electric-powered potter’s wheel, to fire and to glaze the materials.

Lunch in a restaurant where an innovative chef trained by Michelin-starred masters is responsible for his own impressive culinary empire. He focuses on local gastronomic traditions with an experimenting attitude.

Before saying goodbye and ending our village tour, we will visit the nearby farm (80-90 cattle, 10 goat, 6-8 sheep 6-8, 10-15 Vietnamese potbellied pig and poultry, rabbits), presentation of the family farming.

The price of the tour is calculated after having discussed the specific services and programmes that are to be included.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!

Other optional programs:

  • The secret life of bees, herb trip and harvest.

Visit to the herb and bee garden, which is 3.5 hectares big.

Lunch at the farm.

The beekeeper will disclose the secrets of honey making and the abilities of bees. We will have delicious teas and tisanes with a two course lunch, made of local, high quality bio ingredients next to a cosy and warm oven. Naturally, we will also have the chance to taste several special honey products, including seedy honey, biscuits, pálinka and soft drinks made with honey.
